We met thanks to our passions, it was summer 2008 at a music fest in NY. I was taking photos of all the bands that day and the moment I heard his voice my life changed in a way I wouldn't come to understand for another 6 years. The weather was rainy and horrible for most of the day, but by the time Brandon's band came on the rain had stopped and the sun was out. I have a photo I took of him, he's on stage and you can see the wet pavement, the sunlight illuminating him. That photo means so much to me now because that's exactly how it happened. Brandon brought the light back into my life after years of darkness. How's that for a beautiful corny wedding website metaphor! Fast forward to early 2014 and our passions yet again re-connect us, he bought one of my photos for the cover of his EP and this crazy wonderful love grew from there. Our first text conversation I told him I wanted to keep him locked in my closet and make him sing to me every day. Our first phone conversation he told me in great detail how he was an old black woman in a past life. Luckily, we're both into weird things<3
